I hope this memorandum finds you well in health and spirit. Let’s continue to pray for each other, and encourage harmony and peace as the world we live in, is in such troubled times. Sometimes, it can be hard not to be absorbed and disturbed by the news and challenges of the day - Mass killings, unpredictable violence, economic uncertainty, intolerance of others and regional wars. Be strong family!
The ElijahLauraBishopBlack 2020 Family Reunion committee will be taking flight very soon, planning another memorable weekend for our family.
We would like to say thank you to those who have paid in-full or began making payment toward the reunion cost.
If you have not made any payments, we ask that you begin making your payments soon.
The committee suggested the development of a payment schedule, making it easier to focus on making payments if a schedule could be followed. If I can be honest, I struggled with this request, because I did not want to suggest how you spend your hard earned money. Please forgive me if I offend anyone, but, because we have not received many payments, I thought maybe the payment schedule is not such a bad idea. See the recommended payment schedule below. I hope you find the schedule to be beneficial.
As you know, planning an event requires knowing what kind of budget you are working with. Time is flying! Can you believe it is February already? In order for the committee to meet the financial obligations, we welcome your prompt payment.

UPDATE: Yearly Dues and Registration Fees
The yearly dues, registration fees and t-shirt cost will remain the same, $182.00. However, an ecommerce transaction processing fee has also been added to each ticket purchased via the website. Note: The ecommerce transaction processing fee is charged by the website host, myevent.com.
2019 Dues: $40.00 + ecommerce processing fee: $2.90 = $42.90
2020 Dues: $40.00 + ecommerce processing fee: $2.90 = $42.90
Registration fee (18 year old and up): $90.00 + ecommerce processing fee: $5.53 = $95.53
Registration fee (3-17 year olds): $38.00 + ecommerce processing fee: $2.79 = $42.79
Registration fee (2 years old and under): Free
T-Shirt: $12.00 + ecommerce processing fee: $1.42 = $13.42
If you pay by mail, there is no ecommerce transaction processing fee and the total will be $182.00. If you would like to pay by check or money order, make check payable to: Cordelia Black, 2417 Westbury Rd., Lansing, MI 48906
There is a Mail in Registration Form listed on the website tab. Please feel free to print this form for each family member that you are paying for.
For Privacy and security purposes, there are some areas of the website that will require the password to access. I encourage immediate payment of the 2019 dues. The first 20 family members that pay their dues will receive, FREE, the 2018 family reunion memorial tribute DVD.

To my amazing family:
I pray that by now you all have arrived home safety, and with a renewed sense of family pride. Words cannot express how delighted I am that you were able to make it to our 2018 family reunion. You really helped to make this a special time for everyone who attended, and I hope you had a great time as well!
Before moving forward, I would like to thank Committee Member, Joyce Bass for the tireless work she put into the planning of the last two reunions-4 years. I appreciate your diligence in making the last two reunions amazingly memorable! I have some big shoes to fill!
I will be your 2020 reunion coordinator, but the 2020 reunion committee has also been identified as: Joyce Bass, Kim Sanders, Pam Sanders-Carter, Tracy Sanders-Pierce, Loretta Sanders, Sherry Bearden, Christian Bearden, Laura Simon, Latosha Black-Price, Anita Black, Marsena Craig, and Kaleda Ruck. We are very excited about the 2020 reunion and will work very hard to develop plans that will continue the learning of our heritage, drawing our children into our family legacy, building relationships, and (of course) having some fun and eating great food.
While the 2018 family reunion is still fresh in our minds, we have commenced planning for the 2020 “Elijah and Laura Bishop Black Family Reunion,” Lansing, Michigan, June 25-27, 2020. The venues have not been selected yet, but will be posted as soon as a decision has been made. However, the yearly dues and registration fees and t-shirt cost will remain the same, $182.00. An ecommerce transaction processing fee has also been added to each ticket purchased. Joyce Bass has paid the processing fee for the last two years, but I am sure you would agree that she should not have to bear the transaction fees, out of pocket, right? Note: The ecommerce transaction processing fee is charged by the website host, myevent.com.

Please visit the website; it has been updated by Joyce since the 2018 reunion. For Privacy and security purposes, there are some areas that will require the password to access. I encourage immediate payment of the 2019 dues, $42.90. The first 20 family members that pay their dues between today and July 7th will receive, FREE, the 2018 family reunion memorial tribute DVD. The website will generate a timestamp of whom and when payment was made. If you have a family, you do not have to pay all the dues now, just $42.90.
